Independence Day Quotes and Wishes for all – 15th August 1947 marked a new beginning of the Great Indian dream when colonial rule ended and India became a free country.

The tricolor was hoisted on the Red Fort, Delhi by the then Indian Prime Minister Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, after being declared Independent from the clutches of the British Empire. It was a sign of victory for all those who laid their lives for this freedom.

Every Year on August 15th, we commemorate the memories of all our martyrs and freedom fighters, by unfurling the flag and sharing inspirational messages with fellow Indians. This day is also observed as a national holiday across India, with offices, banks, and government or private offices remaining closed. Independence Day is observed with flag-hoisting ceremonies, official parades, and cultural events at schools/colleges in all Indian states.
